Katarina Grobler is an Australian pianist whose performances reflect a deep passion for bringing new voices into classical music by championing female composers and modern repertoire. She has performed internationally across Europe, including Germany, Austria, and Croatia, and regularly appears in Sydney as a soloist and collaborative artist.
An advocate for exploring music’s broader cultural impact, Katarina has published articles on the representation of women in music and, in 2019, directed a concert festival celebrating the 200th anniversary of Clara Schumann. She was a finalist in the Sydney Conservatorium Concerto Competition, a recipient of the Vice Chancellor's Global Mobility Scholarship from the University of Sydney (2020), and a scholarship participant at the Feuerwerk Akademie in Einbeck (2024).
As a passionate chamber musician, Katarina has collaborated with groups such as the all-female modern music group Ensemble Muse and the Dreambox Collective. She has also performed at the Sydney Opera House as an orchestral pianist with The Metropolitan Orchestra and is one half of the piano duo “Katarina and Ro” with Ronan Apcar.
Katarina is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she studied under Dr. Paul Rickard-Ford and Bernadette Harvey. She continues to refine her craft through private study with Gintaras Januševičius.
